Istanbul Bilgi University Laptop Orchestra was founded by Tolga Tuzun in 2009 as Turkey's first laptop orchestra. After a long hiatus, it started its activities again in 2020 with its new members Can Memişoğulları, Elif Gülin Soğuksu, Güneş Bozkır and Zeynep Oktar. The orchestra consists of five laptops, various controllers, software and sensors. Members of the ensemble act simultaneously as performers and composers. In the performances of the orchestra, the behavior of the sound in time and space is examined and manipulated, and the state of creating new sound sets is reflected instantly. The group, which last held a workshop within the scope of Arter New and Latest Music Festival in 2021, continues to work.
